Bostik League Premier club Margate have announced the signing of goalkeeper Sam Sargeant on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League side Leyton Orient
The 20-year-old will join up with Steve Watts’ squad tomorrow as they visit league leaders Billericay Town.
A product of the O`s academy, Sargeant featured on the Orient substitutes bench on a number of occasions before making his professional debut in spectacular fashion on the final day of the 2015/16 season as he produced a man of the match display against Yeovil Town to be named in the Football League team of the week.
Sargeant made eighteen appearances across all competitions in the 2016/17 season.
The signing bolsters Watt’s options following a short-term deal with James Russell.
Watts told his club`s website: “I’m really pleased to add Sam to our squad. He’s a young, ambitious player with League experience and will give us some strength in options ahead of a busy January”.
