Former boss Neil Young has returned to Vanarama National League club Chester FC to support manager Marcus Bignot for the remainder of the season.

Young returns to the club on a short-term, voluntary basis in time for Saturday’s game at the Swansway Chester Stadium against Aldershot Town.

Young took the managerial reigns in 2010 following the club`s reformation – and guided the Blues to three successive championships and back into the National League by 2013.

Since then he has been manager of Stockport County and Altrincham, and most recently caretaker-manager at FC Halifax Town.
