Ebac Northern League Second Division club Brandon United are looking for a new manager following the resignation of Lee Jewett.

Following last week`s 2-1 defeat to West Allotment Celtic in the E Armstrong Memorial Cup, Jewett informed the committee of his intention to step down as manager with immediate effect.

Jewett left the club at the end of the 2015/16 season only to return again part way through 2016/17 when the club were at another low ebb.

Club president George Rae said: “The club would like to thank Lee for all the hard work, dedication and commitment he has put in during his time with Brandon United and we wish him well for the future.

“In the short term, the current football staff will take the team until a new manager is appointed”.
