Ashford United have welcomed experienced midfielder Mickey Phillips back to the Bostik League South newcomers.
Forced to quit the professional game 13 years ago due to injury, the 34-year-old is a former Gillingham, Maidstone United and Cray Wanderers player who moved to the Homelands in 2014.
Phillips made fourteen appearances last season before announcing his retirement in February 2017 due to arthritis in his lower back.
Manager Danny Lye told the club`s official website: “Micky is doing pre-season with the anticipation he is re-signing for us. The rest on his body has done him lots of good so I’m sure he’ll get back to match fitness quickly.
“His experience and quality on the ball can’t be matched at this level so we are very happy to have him back”.
