The news has been welcomed by manager Ian Cotton have announced the addition of

“Danny has been around non league football for many years as a player and recently as a coach with Teversal.

“It’s important that with us having a young squad that the right information is relayed to the players during training and match days. Danny has that experience and after taking a couple of pre-season training sessions it’s clear the players have responded to him positively.”

Danny joins Ian Birtley on the first team coaching staff with Steve Smith also taking the position of u21’s manager along side his role as goalkeeper coach to the first team.

Cotton is hoping he can add another coach and hopes a deal is confirmed by the end of the week.

“With running the u21’s as well this season and already having such a positive turnout to the training sessions it’s paramount that we make the most of any time we have with players.

“A lot of the mistakes we made last season can be ironed out on the training ground but only if we have enough staff in attendance.”

There is still a coaching position available at the club based with the u21’s any interested parties please contact Steve Smith on 07793 762 695.
