Mark Harvey says Coalville’s FA Trophy win can be used as a marker for their performance writes Tom Feaheny.
A 1-0 victory ensured they got through to the second round, where they will next take on Alvechurch away from home.
Harvey spoke to the club’s Audioboom account about the result as they next prepare for Halesowen Town tonight.
“The performance was fantastic, it meant a lot, we have beaten a good Redditch side, their keeper has made some good saves to keep the score down,
“We have played on different surfaces, their pitch gave them that slight advantage as you’d expect but we got the job done and put in a good display.
“The goal is one of them if it’s on Match of the day everyone is raving about it, it was such a well-worked goal.”
“We called Jamie back from Loughborough, this is what football is about, he’s got the game time, he did everything he had to do, he looked solid, I’m pleased for him.
“The players are buzzing to get the win and be in the draw for the next round, we want to use that going into the next league game now.”
