It was a busy day of Walter C Parson League Cup action for South West Peninsula League clubs with no fewer than fourteen Premier sides in action as nine of them progressed to join Plymouth Argyle, who won on Friday night, in the last sixteen.
Four ties were all Premier affairs with Falmouth Town taking the scalp of the cup holders St Austell after a 3-1 win away at Poltair.
Tavistock had to come from behind to beat Ivybridge Town 3-2 at Langsford Park, whilst Cullompton Rangers needed extra-time before going through 2-1 away at Exmouth Town.
The closest tie was at Pennygillam where hosts Launceston needed both extra-time and penalties to progress at the expense of Saltash United.
The two were locked at 2-2 before the Clarets won the shoot-out 4-2.
As well as the four Premier sides to fall in that way, Camelford are also out as they suffered a shock by losing 1-0 away at West Division side Mousehole.
Two Premier sides did, however, go through against West opponents with Godolphin Atlantic beating Illogan 2-1 at home and Bodmin Town winning 4-2 away at Porthleven.
The remaining three clubs through knocked out East Division opposition with Plymouth Parkway having to come from behind to beat a plucky Galmpton & Roselands 3-1, Stoke Gabriel were 2-1 winners away at Sidmouth Town and Torpoint Athletic had a 2-1 success at home to Liverton United.
