Bradford Park Avenue have launched their 2017-18 season membership scheme writes Tom Feaheny.

The Vanarama National League North side have pledged that they will continue to be owned by supporters and the community in the forthcoming campaign.

To become a member of the club, it costs £10 and is open to anyone that wants to get involved. Avenue are hoping to reach out to people in the local community as well as supporters of the team.

Those who have bought a 2017-18 Season Ticket, can purchase membership for the reduced price of £5.

Membership of the Community Benefit Society (CBS) entitles you to 5% discount on club merchandise in the club shop.

Members are able to put themselves forward to, and elect, a governing board for the club.

Those who were shareholders last season have previously been automatically given free membership to the CBS. This is now no longer the case, and all members must renew their membership to earn their vote.

On Saturday 17 June, the scheme will launch at the Horsfall Stadium.
