Vanarama National League North leaders AFC Fylde have signed defender Emilio Oman Biyik, son of former Cameroon star Francois, who played in the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
His son is a tall, 21-year-old central defender who started his career with French side La Berrichonne de Chateauroux.
Born in Mexico City, he left Mexico before he was 3 years old to move to France with his family.
Oman Biyik, who has French, Cameroonian and Mexican nationalities, returned to Mexico in January to join second tier side Reynosa before coming over to England to try his luck.
Meanwhile, full-back Macauley Wilson has extended his loan deal with the club for another month.
The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan from Sky Bet League Two neighbours Blackpool, will now remain with the Coasters until 21st January, 2017.
Wilson has started all four of Fylde’s league games since joining the club last month.
