Halesowen Town gave their chances of avoiding being sucked into a relegation fight in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division a massive boost with a 2-1 win at Keys Park against Hednesford Town on Wednesday night.
In front of a crowd of 353, it was the Yeltz who went in front after 33 minutes when a Lee Chilton corner was converted by Danny Bragoli.
But 4 minutes before the break, the Pitmen equalised when Tony Clarke squeezed a shot past Halesowen `keeper Daniel Platt.
The all-important winner came with just 10 minutes remaining when, again following a corner, a Mo Diop shot was parried by home `keeper Dan Crane, but former Hednesford loanee Asa Charlton was on hand to snap up the loose ball.
The in lifts Halesowen up to seventeenth in the table, a healthy nine points in front of the drop zone with games in hand.
