Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division club Hadleigh United have announced the appointment of Shane Wardley as their new first-team manager.
The Brettsiders have been without a manager since Stuart Alston stepped down earlier this month after taking up the role as head of youth development at the club.
Andrew Crisp has been in caretaker charge since.
Wardley returns to the club after previously winning the Premier Division as a player with them in 2014.
The 37-year-old former Cambridge United, AFC Sudbury and Leiston defender quit as player-manager of Hadleigh`s league rivals Ipswich Wanderers in August.
He had taken over at Humber Doucy Lane in May 2016, stepping up from being a player with the club, but resigned stating that he wasn`t enjoying it.
Wardley will be assisted by Ian Cornforth, who was also his number two during his time at Ipswich Wanderers, while caretaker boss Crisp will remain with the club.
