Ossett Town moved back into the top five in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North table on Monday night after sharing a 1-1 draw in the Yorkshire derby at the Dual Seal Stadium against another play-off chasing side, Brighouse Town.
The home side started the game in ninth place, but only four points behind the top five and protection a nine-game unbeaten run.
Ossett, on the other hand, had hit an inconsistent spell that had taken them out of the play-off places.
However, in front of a crowd of 302, they managed to break the deadlock on the hour-mark when there was several attempts and blocks following a corner before Ashley Jackson managed to force the ball home.
But the home side were back on level terms 10 minutes later when a cross from the right was dropped at the near post by Ossett `keeper Leigh Overton and James Pollard was on hand to clip in the loose ball.
