Young defender Fraser Horsfall has joined Vanarama National League North club Salford City on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town until the end of the 2016/17 season.
The 20-year-old centre-back joins Salford upon the conclusion of his two-month loan spell with league rivals Stalybridge Celtic.
He started five games during his time at Bower Fold and helped the side that sits bottom of the table win five points out of a possible fifteen – only losing two matches – and scoring in a 2-2 draw with Gainsborough Trinity.
The young defender now joins the Ammies with the club challenging at the top of the table, eleven points behind league leaders AFC Fylde.
Horsfall played against Salford for Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season as the defender’s new club won 1-0 in February.
This will be Horsfall’s third loan spell of the season as he continues to move up the football Pyramid.
His first loan of the season was at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North side Trafford, where he made eleven starts and helped the club keep six clean sheets.
Horsfall could make his debut for the Ammies during Saturday’s game against Stockport County at Moor Lane.
