Evo-Stik League Premier club Marine AFC have announced the signing of three players ahead of the 2017/18 season.
James Edgar, Germano Mendes and Jack Phillips have all checked into the Marine Travel Arena.
Edgar is a 23-year-old attacking midfielder who was part of Evo-Stik North side Prescot Cables’ Liverpool Senior Cup-winning team of 2016/17 and won the managers` player of the year award at Volair Park.
Mendes is a Guinea-Bissau born goalkeeper who joins the Mariners after being with groundshare partners AFC Liverpool in the Hallmark Security League last season.
The 25-year-old also had spells in Portugal with Oeiras and in Finland with JS Hercules.
Phillips is a winger who was with the Mariners last season and is currently recovering from a cruciate injury.
Meanwhile, several players have been released by the club – Zach Adekoya, Harry Blackburn, Jack Fleming, Alfons Fosu-Mensah, Steven James and Jamie Menagh – have all departed the Mariners.
And midfielder Gary Grier has signed for Hallmark Security League Premier Division side Runcorn Linnets on a dual registration.
