Hyde United have signed talented forward Leon Osborne from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North rivals Brighouse Town.
Osborne impressed earlier in the season at Brighouse, playing with pace and a strong physical presence.
The 27-year-old started out at Bradford City where he made thirty-six appearances as well as a stint on loan with Southport.
After being released by the Bantams at the end of the 2011/12 season, he signed for Harrogate Town and since then has had spells with Stalybridge Celtic, Buxton, Goole AFC, Frickley Athletic, Matlock Town, Rainworth Miners Welfare, Farsley Celtic and Bradford Park Avenue.
Manager Darren Kelly commented: “We were extremely impressed with Leon`s all-round game and we feel he will add something to the squad which will help to push us up another level. We already have an eye on next season, and building a squad which will allow us to achieve our ambitions.”
Osborne will join the squad for tomorrow`s visit of Radcliffe Borough to Ewen Fields.
