Central defender Luca Havern has decided to join Bradford Park Avenue writes Tom Feaheny.

The 28 year old last season was captain at fellow Vanarama National League North side Telford United.

Before he had spells at Stockport County, Mansfield Town and Hyde, but it was his four year stint at Altrincham where he had the most success, helping the club gain promotion in a promotion final against Guiseley.

The Lions boss on that day was the man who has now signed him Mark Bower, he was pleased to get the deal over the line.

“Luca is a player that I’ve admired for a few years now and he has an impressive CV in non league football,” Bower said.

“He has achieved two promotions in the last five years from our division and has National League experience.

“Last year he was captain and Player of the Year at Telford, so when we found out he was looking for a move to be closer to home we felt he would be a great addition for us, so we moved quickly to secure his services for next season.”
