Bobby Wilkinson accepts Wealdstone’s match at Bath City wasn’t too fun to watch but says the point could prove crucial.
The in-form Stones’ great winning run may be over but the draw at Twerton Park keeps things ticking over nicely following a game that saw both sides end with ten men.
It wasn’t perhaps a game for the neutrals on Saturday in Somerset but the manager says a point is not to be sniffed at.
Wealdstone sit in 14th place and the manager thinks they can keep climbing the table after recovering well from a slow start.
He said: “It was a very good points for us on the face of it, Bath are a strong side.
“It was not a great game to be a part of but it was a great point away from home. You never know how important that point could be come the end of the season.
“We’re happy with the progress being. A clean sheet was a positive and now we move on to the FA Cup.
“Things are progressing for sure, I’m seeing that every game and in training and now we just need to keep that going.”
