Leyton Orient’s injury problems are stacking up ahead of a match tomorrow lunchtime that they can ill-afford to lose.
The O’s meet Hartelpool – they club they were relegated alongside at the end of last season.
Both sides have had a stop-start beginning to Non-League life but it’s the Pools who are in form ahead of the live BT Sport game.
Orient have lost their last two games, against Boreham Wood and FC Halifax, and that 3-0 home loss to the
Shaymen must be set right according to the manager Steve Davis.
But they are likely to miss their two central defender George Elokobi and Josh Coulson.
Davis said: “With a hamstring (Elokobi) it always depends on the severity of it and the grade, but it is usually two or three weeks at a minimum.
“It can sometimes be longer and he is not a young man, so it may take a little bit longer to heal.
“Josh’s has a groin problem and deep into it, so I don’t know about that from a timescale point of view.
“We now need to look at that area and we have (Jamie) Sendles-White, who is raring to go and fit and we have Michael Clark and people like that able to come in.
“Maybe now we can see how strong our back-up team is.”
