Skrill North club Altrincham have signed experienced goalkeeper Tim Deasy from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First….

…Division North side Northwich Victoria.

Deasy, 28, started out with Macclesfield Town where he played three times in the senior side before being released in the summer of 2006.

He joined neighbouring Stockport County but failed to make a first-team appearances for the Hatters and left at the end of the 2006/07 season.

He joined Barrow AFC in August 2007 after trialling in pre-season games and quickly made a name for himself by saving two penalties in one game at Tamworth in September 2007.

He played a major part in Barrow’s promotion-winning season from the Conference North and in the Bluebirds` two seasons in the Conference Premier, he was in and out of the team, but totaled 93 games for the club before leaving Holker Street at the end of the 2009/10 season.

He signed for Gateshead on an initial three-month deal in August 2010 and had that deal extended until the end of the season.

After making 55 appearances for the Tynesiders, Deasy was released by in April 2012 and signed for Bradford Park Avenue.

He left the club in April 2013 and joined Vics where he has been a firm fans` favourite with some outstanding performances.
