Mike Amos, the former chairman of the Ebac Northern League, has been awarded the title of senior vice-president.
Amos stood down at the end of last season after twenty years as chairman and 30 years’ involvement in the league.
Chairman Glenn Youngman said: “Mike served the league and north east football with distinction.
“The title of senior vice-president is a fitting tribute to his unstinting work and recognition for his achievements, including raising £1m in sponsorship for the league during his time as chairman, as well as his fund-raising efforts for local charities.”
Amos added: “I’m delighted and honoured to accept the offer to be the league’s senior vice-president”.
