Vanarama National League club Barrow AFC have appointed former Mansfield Town and Torquay United boss Paul Cox as their new manager.
Cox, 43, led Mansfield to the Conference title in 2012 and had a short spell at Torquay earlier this season.
Barrow CEO Austin Straker said: “After a few detailed and constructive meetings Barrow AFC are pleased to announce that Paul Cox has agreed to be the new manager.
“Confirmation on the length of the deal will follow with his appointment beginning today.
“Paul Cox will meet the squad and support staff tomorrow, guiding the training for the rest of the week leading up to our next home game against Woking on Saturday.
“Paul has stated he is very excited by the challenge presented and is looking forward to building on the progress that has already been achieved at the club.”
