Vanarama National League club Barrow AFC have announced the capture of 26-year-old central defender Myles Anderson.
The former Leyton Orient, Aberdeen, Blackburn Rovers and Exeter City player, who also spent time on loan with Barrow`s league rivals Aldershot Town, has spent the last three seasons in Italy with Monza, Cheivo and L`Aquilla Calcio.
He looked set to join Sky Bet League One side Chesterfield in the summer before the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
Anderson has put pen-to-paper and international clearance is now awaited.
Barrow boss Paul Cox was delighted at having finally signed the central defender he has been chasing.
Meanwhile, Shrewsbury have recalled Dominic Smith following the appointment of former Grimsby Town boss Paul Hurst as their new manager.
