Hyde United have announced that prolific striker Matthew Beadle has committed his long-term future to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club for the 2017/18 campaign.
Beadle said: “I am excited about being part of this Hyde team and believe we will challenge next season on all front.
“We have a great squad, built around a positive dressing room, great fans and a management & coaching team who will improve me as a footballer, as well as helping me to achieve my personal targets on the pitch.”
Manager Darren Kelly and assistant David McGurk are pleased to get a commitment from a proven goalscorer at this time and confirmed: “Matt has shown everyone what a talent he is over the past few seasons, and he has continued his fantastic goalscoring form since joining Hyde back in December.
“He has set himself challenging targets for the coming season, but we believe with a full pre-season behind him, he has the chance of finishing at the top of the 2017-2018 goal scoring charts.”
CEO Mark Worthington confirmed: “The board and management team are really pleased to secure the services of Matthew Beadle. He has shown what a talent he is on the pitch, scoring goals and instantly connecting with the Hyde fans, but he is also a genuinely decent young man off the pitch and a pleasure to have associated with this great club”.
