Grant Black, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club Ossett Town, has further strengthened his squad with four key additions.
Back on the books is Daz Lucas, a popular player at the club he left to go travelling in November 2015, has returned to training and straight away impressed Black and his assistant Steve Ridley.
Brad Riley is the second name that will be familiar to Town fans, although he made just two appearances for the club last season.
Riley has plenty of experience with the likes of Albion Sports, AFC Emley, FC Halifax Town and Ossett Albion after starting as a junior at Barnsley, and like Lucas has impressed in pre-season.
Making the short trip from league rivals Brighouse Town is their captain from last season, Leon Henry.
The versatile midfielder has left the Duel Seal Stadium citing the need for a new challenge.
Henry joins Ossett Town for a second spell having made nine appearances for the club at the end of the 2009/10 season.
Last but not least, midfielder Liam Gaughan, another with Premier Division experience, joins The Ingfielders from Matlock Town where he has spent the last two seasons.
The 21-year-old started his career at Doncaster Rovers and also played for Armthorpe Welfare before joining the Gladiators.
Black said: “I’m delighted with the way the squad is starting to shape up. We have the numbers in that we didn’t have last season, but more than that we have quality. There are two players for each position and it is difficult to pick, they’re working hard in training and now the games are coming, starting Thursday at Parkgate, there will be a lot of people wanting to show what they can do”.
