Lee Casswell, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South leaders Leek Town, has re-signed….
…..experienced defender Ryan Brown from NPL Premier Division side Stafford Rangers.
Brown, 28, began his career as a nine-year old in the youth set-up at Port Vale and went on to make forty-four senior appearances before joining Leek for the first time in August 2005 following his release by the Potteries club.
After making forty-nine appearances for Leek he left Harrison Park in July 2006 to join then Conference Premier side Northwich Victoria where he spent three and a half seasons before joining Altrincham.
Then in January 2012, he moved on to Stafford Rangers.
Commenting on his new signing, Casswell said: “This could have happened earlier in the season but he decided to remain at Marston Road.
“However, we signed him before the deadline for the next round of the Trophy and he will give us more options down the left hand side.
“Ryan fits in with what we’re trying to do here at Harrison Park and is therefore a good acquisition for the club”, he added.
