Conference North club Stalybridge Celtic have signed striker Anthony Malbon from Conference Premier side Kidderminster Harriers.
Malbon, 22, will link up with ex-Harrier Keith Briggs, who is manager, at Stalybridge, having had his contract at Aggborough cancelled by mutual consent.
The former Port Vale youth prospect got his move to Harriers in January 2012 on the back of scoring more than 30 times in half a season for Newcastle Town – a run he continued at Aggborough having quickly made the leap up a number of divisions to settle in the Conference Premier.
In his first full season the goals slowed at one stage and he went some sixteen games without a goal. But this proved to be truly out of character and it was a run he emphatically banished with a run of 15 goals in nineteen games, earning a new long-term deal with the club.
