Midfielder Dan Clayton has left Gainsborough Trinity to join Skrill North promotion-chasing rivals North Ferriby United.
The left-sided player joined Trinity towards the end of August from another Skrill North outfit, Harrogate Town, although he had actually registered with Tootstation Northern Counties East League side Glasshoughton Welfare earlier that month.
He joined Harrogate from local football in December 2011 having played for Northallerton Town and Boroughbridge and was dual registered with Knaresborough Town AFC.
Clayton was part of the Harrogate squad that reached the Second Round of the FA Cup and played twenty-one games and scored two goals whilst at the CNG Stadium.
Clayton moves to Ferriby in time to face his former Trinity team-mates in two games over the festive period.
