Tony Burman, manager of Vanarama Conference club Dartford, has strengthened his squad further with the arrival of the….
….experienced Peter Sweeney to Princes Park.
Sweeney, 29, began his career at Millwall, and has also had spells at Stoke City, Leeds United, Grimsby Town and Bury before signing for AFC Wimbledon in January 2013.
He made twenty-eight appearances for the Dons last season before being released in May.
Burman said: “I am delighted to have signed Peter on contract for the coming season. I have been speaking with him for the last couple of weeks and I feel that he is a type of player who will improve the squad.
“Peter is a very creative midfield player and with over 250 Football League appearances, his experience will be a valuable asset to the team, and will be wearing squad number 16.”
