Macclesfield Town have confirmed that Paul Lewis has agreed a new contract with the Vanarama National League club.
The former Everton midfielder, who made thirty-one appearances for the club, returned for training with the rest of the Silkmen squad earlier today and has now agreed a new contract.
A talented young midfielder with an eye for goal, Lewis joined the Silkmen’s youth set-up from Everton and earned his first senior contract in the summer of 2013.
He made his senior debut in the Silkmen’s second match of the season, away at Lincoln City, and would go on to make twenty-two appearances for the side in 2013/14 season.
A broken collarbone hindered his progress early last season but he returned to the side in January and his performances soon earned him a call-up to the England C side.
Lewis will now look to continue his development with the Silkmen in the 2015/16 season.
