Good & Bad News for Yaxley

Yaxley`s popular centre-back and assistant-manager Andy Coleman has retired from football.

Formerly with Soham Town Rangers, Coleman has been a great servant to ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division club Yaxley.

Forward Andy Furnell moves into the assistant role with immediate effect.

The former Peterborough United striker, who has spent most of his life in the village, will be a real asset to Brett Whaley as the club build towards next season when their ground will have a new 3G pitch.

Meanwhile, Peterborough Northern Star front man Phil Stebbing has agreed to join Yaxley for 2015/16 season.

Whaley and President Jeff Lenton are delighted to get their man and have reacted quickly to the end of season form and Hunts Cup final defeat.
