Heanor Town have announced that defender Adrian Hawes has joined the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division club.
The experienced 27-year-old, 6` 3” centre-back had a spell at the Town Ground as a youngster under Jamie Bennett. He then went on to play for Hucknall Town, Motherwell on loan, Dagenham & Redbridge, also on loan, Eastwood Town, Alfreton Town, Altrincham on loan and, most recently, Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Grantham Town.
Manager Brian Clarence said: ”I`m delighted to have Ady on board. He’s exactly what we’ve been after and it`s great to see that our hard work is paying off.
“Ady has a brilliant football CV and can only make us stronger going into the new campaign.”
Meanwhile, last season`s `star man` Kieran Debrouwer has decided to stay with the Lions for the next two seasons despite obvious interest from numerous clubs locally and higher up the non-League Pyramid.
Debrouwer hit 56 goals in last season`s campaign and understandably won all the plaudits at the club`s presentation evening.
