Hyde United have added three more players to their squad, with Darren Kelly pleased with the transfer work done so far writes Tom Feaheny.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One North side have added Luke Porrit, David Brown & Chris Churchman have all agreed to sign for the coming season.

Speaking about getting the deals done manager Darren Kelly says all three made a good impression.

“All three had good seasons last year, and impressed us with their all round game. We had them watched by our scouts.

“We had first hand experience of Chris, who was outstanding against us for Clitheroe. I know they will add to the team and personally I can’t wait to get back in for pre season to start working with all the players.”

Porritt joins after several years at Guiseley, where he had been a product of the academy, he was unlucky to pick up an ankle injury and spent time on loan at Ossett Albion.

David Brown has had spells at Tadcaster Albion and Ossett Town in recent seasons, the forward started his career at Leeds United.

Finally Chris Churchman joins after being at Clitheroe FC, the midfielder won the ‘young player of the year’ at Stockport County in 2015 making 49 appearances for the Hatters before signing for Macclesfield Town FC in October 2015.
