Blue Square Bet North club Droylsden added a fifth player to their squad ahead of today`s game against Guiseley AFC.

The Bloods brought in youngsters Luke Gallagher and Jason Gilchrist on loan from Burnley and then Tyron Sealey from Mossley and ex-Manchester City and Northern Ireland international Jeff Whitley on Friday, and now the vastly experienced Lee McEvilly has joined from Conference Premier side Barrow AFC.

McEvilly re-joined the Bluebirds at the end of January.

He originally left Holker Street after scoring the equaliser against Stevenage Borough in the FA Trophy Final and headed for Sligo Rovers in Ireland.

Injury though cut his stay short and he had since had several non-League clubs without really settling.

He returned to Barrow having left Warrington Town just before Christmas.

Formerly with Rochdale, Accrington Stanley, Wrexham and Cambridge United, he had two previous spells at Barrow, the first on loan from Rochdale in the Bluebirds’s first season in the Conference in the spring of 2009, and then as a permanent signing a year later.

He joins the Bloods in an effort to play more regularly.
