New Boys Hoping to Play a Part

New signings Phil Mooney and Jack West will be hoping to play a part in Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier….

….Division strugglers Stafford Rangers’ side when they head to Barwell today.

The midfield pair were snapped up from NPL First Division North leaders Warrington Town and had to be content with a place on the bench in last week’s 2-2 draw with AFC Fylde – although Mooney did replace Sean Kinsella deep in injury-time.

Rangers boss Andy Mutch also drafted in former Tamworth and Hednesford Town central defender Tom Marshall, who impressed from the start against Fylde and, with Jermaine Johnson suspended and skipper Darren Bullock struggling with a groin strain, he should keep his place in the side.

Rangers will be looking to build on an impressive display against Fylde – their first point after a run of three defeats. But Barwell are one of the division’s in-form sides.
