Skrill North club Worcester City had the re-signed Tyler Weir and new goalkeeper Lewis Solly in their side for Tuesday….

….night`s 3-0 home defeat to Leamington

Weir, who left Worcester in the summer to sign a two-year deal with league rivals Gloucester City, has seen that terminated to re-join Carl Heeley’s men.

Weir is a highly-rated midfielder or defender who signed permanently for Gloucester in June 2013 after opting to join Worcester twelve months earlier.

Weir initially had two loan spells with the Tigers from parent club Hereford United and became a fans` favourite at the club, making almost fifty appearances scoring three goals but having exhausted his three-month loan spell found himself unable to sign again and was sent to Worcester instead.

Former Wolves and Bury keeper Solly called time on a seven-and-a-half year stay with Stourbridge in which he made more than 350 appearances to join the Dales Lane side in June 2013.

Among his highlights during heady days for Glassboys included the play-off final win over Leamington and the memorable FA Cup run, including two games with Plymouth and one against Stevenage.

However, his spell with Rushall ended last month and he has been turning out for Stourport Swifts in the Midland Combination recently.
