Now Austin`s Loaned to Port

Gary Brabin, manager of Vanarama Conference club Southport, has added to his squad with 23-year-old winger….

….Mitchell Austin joining from Sky Bet League Two side on a loan until January 4th 2015.

Austin left Conference North side Stalybridge Celtic for United during the summer of 2013.

Australian-born, Austin his youth football with Sydney outfit Manly United before relocating to the UK with Rotherham United, who had offered him a scholarship.

A regular in Millers reserves, he was later released and spent time in the Swedish lower leagues, before joining Stalybridge in October 2010.

Quick-footed and skillful, Austin signed a two-year deal with the U’s.

During last season, Austin spent time on loan with Conference Premier side Lincoln City and the latter end of the campaign with Brackley Town, where he has recently spent a second loan spell.

Brabin said: “Mitchell will add to our attacking options, I want to play entertaining football and to do that you need pace and width.”
