Hyde United have announced that Pete Boyle has committed his long-term future to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club for our 2017/18 campaign.
Boyle said: “This has been a season of transition for me, moving from the academy into mens` football. I have worked hard and manager Darren Kelly has rewarded me in the second half of the year with more time on the pitch, which helped me to score goals in the league and cup competitions. I will look to win a regular place in the team in the coming season.”
Kelly and assistant David McGurk are pleased to secure a home-grown talent and confirmed: “Pete is a product of our academy and is completely focussed on representing Hyde United as well as making a career for himself in professional football.
“His attitude and desire is as good as anyone signed to a professional club and is matched by his outstanding work rate in games. He has also added goals this season, and I expect him to push on over the coming year.”
Hyde CEO Mark Worthington confirmed: “Pete has been with us since the age of 16, and has shown a dedication to Hyde and to professional football which is second to none. He is continuing in full time football through our Foundation Degree program, allowing him time to attend additional training on the pitch and in the gym, which will allow him to achieve his goals. He is a figure head to our younger academy players, showing what can be achieved if you work hard, stay focussed and take an opportunity”.
