Now Roma Makes First Player Signing

Following hot on the heels of the appointment of Martin Foster as his assistant-manager, Dominic Roma, player-manager of….

…Vanarama National League North club Gainsborough Trinity, has made his first signing on the playing side, moving quickly to snap up the signature of a highly-rated Rotherham United youngster Alex Wiles.

Wiles is a 20-year-old central midfielder who earned a two-year pro-contract at his home-town club Rotherham, and has also spent a period on trial at Sheffield United.

He is an ambitious youngster who is keen to get back into the professional game.

Wiles has spent the last year gaining valuable experience in the mens` game, appearing for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Buxton where he had first impressed in the reserves.

Capable of scoring spectacular goals, Roma said this of his capture: ā€œIā€™m looking forward to working with Alex and seeing him develop ā€“ and I am sure supporters will enjoy watching his all-action performances in the middle of the park.”
