Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One club Knaresborough Town have signed league rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic`s skipper Simon Parkes.
Manager Paul Stansfield said: “I am delighted to announce the signing of Simon Parkes.
“Simon is a player I have admired for some time and he made a huge impact last season when he came in on loan for a short spell.
“He has excellent leadership qualities as well as being an excellent footballer and has played at a high standard throughout his career.
“He knows a lot of the lads and we`re all looking forward to getting him involved.”
Club chairman Peter Plews was delighted with the news, and said: ” I am looking forward to seeing both brothers Simon and Ben Parkes playing together in a Knaresborough Town shirt”.
