Jimmy Quinn, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Nantwich Town, has moved to….
….strengthen his squad ahead of today’s trip to Frickley Athletic with the capture of experienced right-back Adam Carden.
Carden, 27, joined the Dabbers at the Weaver Stadium on Friday on an initial month’s loan from league rivals AFC Fylde.
The defender, who can also play in midfield, includes Southport, Burscough, Accrington Stanley, Altrincham and FC United of Manchester among his former clubs.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have Adam on board,” said Quinn. “He’s a great acquisition for the club and will give us the experience at right back that we’ve been looking for. He has a fantastic attitude and is keen to make a big contribution for us.”
“We are working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad in a few areas so that we can make a concerted effort to remain in the race with the other title challengers. I’m delighted to have been able to add Adam Carden to the team. He is a natural right back with lots of passion and skill and will start the game tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some more additions as well over the next week or so.”
Quinn is looking for a positive response and three points at Frickley from his side after last Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat to league leaders North Ferriby United.
He added: “Our focus is on tomorrow, a good performance and three points. Last Saturday was disappointing and while we didn’t play that well, we could have got something from the game but mistakes cost us.
“We have a fantastic bunch of lads here with a great attitude and they have worked hard all week and we will be looking to put on a good show tomorrow and continue our good away form with a decent result.”
