Ryman League Division One South club Ramsgate have signed striker Ashley Miller from Ryman Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta.
The move is an initial one-month loan but joint boss Danny Ward is keen to see what the future holds with Ashley at Ramsgate.
“We’re delighted to welcome Ashley Miller back to Ramsgate,” he said. “He’s a team player and a very hard working forward that’ll fit into this side well. He fits what we are trying to achieve at this club. The deal is an initial month`s loan but let`s see what happens and potentially he could stay longer.”
Miller joins in the wake of Joe Taylor moving in the other direction.
Joint boss Jim Ward said of the news: “We made it clear to the team and the lads that although they are on contract and we are not obliged to, if a Club from a higher division came calling or showed interest, we would not stand in their way.”
Miller made waves in Kent when he made his professional debut for Gillingham at the incredible age of just 16 and had his first start for the Gills in March 2012, scoring his first senior goal three days later.
