Vanarama Conference club Alfreton Town have snapped up free agent goalkeeper Thomas Flynn.
Twenty-four-year-old Flynn began his career with home-town club Newcastle United’s Academy.
He was released by the Magpies and joined Scottish giants Hibernian in the summer of 2007.
After progressing through the club’s youth set-up, he was loaned to Alloa Athletic in May 2010 and the following August he re-joined Alloa on loan.
However, he failed to make a senior appearance in either spell with Alloa, but in January 2011 he was loaned out to Albion Rovers where he went on to make ten first-team appearances.
He returned to Hibs and was released in April 2011.
During the summer of 2011, Flynn signed a one-year deal with Cowdenbeath.
A year later, after having fourteen clean sheets in thirty matches, he renewed his link with `The Blue Brazil`.
And in August 2012 Flynn made his Scottish Championship debut in a 0–4 home defeat against Dunfermline Athletic.
He left Cowdenbeath last October.
