Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Skelmersdale United have announced their new manager is former Premier League player Alan Rogers.
Rogers is a former professional who spent many years in the game, making over 200 appearances for Nottingham Forrest and winning the Championship title with the club in 1997/98, having signed for the club from Tranmere Rovers for £2.5 million.
Rogers has also had spells at Leicester City, Hull City and finished his career at Accrington Stanley.
His coaching credentials include being assistant-manager at Sligo Rovers alongside Micky Adams and a spell as assistant at Tranmere Rovers, where he was also caretaker-manager in 2015.
He was recently youth team coach at Premier League Burnley.
