Calor League Southern Division One South & West club Paulton Rovers have announced the signing of striker….
….Ryan Bath from league rivals and neighbours Mangotsfield United.
Bath, who arrived at Cossham Street from Toolstation Western League side Larkhall Athletic at the start of last season after the appointment of Richard Thompson as manager, leaves after the recent arrival of Darren Edwards and Reeko Best.
The targetman made thirty-six starts for the club with fifteen appearances off the bench, scoring nine goals.
Nick Bunyard and his management team have been monitoring Bath for the last eighteen months and the player finally put pen-to-paper for Rovers.
“He’s always impressed me in the seven or eight games I’ve seen him play over that period,” said Bunyard. “We have waited until now to make an approach as we felt the timing might be right on both sides.
“He’s a strong, powerful and athletic lad who is a real handful for defenders so we think he’ll really add something to us. He’s also a good age with plenty of scope for improvement over the next few years, but most importantly he’s a good lad with the right attitude and he’ll fit in great with the dressing room.”
