Midland League Premier Division club Heanor Town have announced that John Shepherd will be the new first-team coach at the Town Ground.
Due to increased work commitments, Kenny Shinfield will now be the chief scout at the club.
Shepherd joins from East Midlands Counties League side Radford where he has been instrumental in the turnaround at the club in the last twelve months.
Shepherd said: “Leaving Radford has been the hardest football decision I have had to make and I thank everyone there in particular Glen Russell.
“Heanor Town would be the only club I would consider. I am excited and looking forward to the challenge and being part of the progression of the club and being part of the ongoing progression that the club have made on and off of the field since Geoff Clarence took over the club.”
