Andy Kiwomya, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South club Sheffield FC, has been busy in the signing department, and added SIX new players to his squad.

First on the list – and returning to Club for a third time – is defender Lee Cooksey, who joins from league rivals Belper Town. Cooksey – nicknamed `The Wall` by the Sheffield FC faithful – is expected to bolster up the defensive line – a concern for Kiwomya over the past few weeks.

Next is Glyn Cotton, a player who has faced Sheffield on numerous occasions in a career that has spanned over 400 appearances in the Northern Premier League.

The 29-year-old midfielder is one of the most versatile players at this level, and is able to play just about anywhere on the park, counting Coalville Town, Lincoln United and Belper amongst the many teams he has played for.

Kiwomya has also signed Southport`s 20-year-old goalkeeper Tom Hunt, who hopes to gain valuable game time on his push for a full-time Football League contract.

So far this season he has appeared for North West Counties League sides Northwich 1874 and AFC Blackpool, and is hoping that he will gain more experience whilst playing for the world’s first football club.

Finally, Kiwomya has signed three players from Sheffield Hallam University’s side in Harry Flowers, Alex Meeken and Luke Martin, further cementing the partnership between the two organisations.
