With the news that supporters` player of the year Ross Flitney would be missing the start of the season through injury, Vanarama National League club Eastleigh….

….have taken goalkeeper Michael Poke on loan from Sky Bet League Two side Portsmouth until January 2016..

Twenty-nine-year-old Poke started his career with Southampton, making four appearances for them and having loan spells at Oldham Athletic, Northampton Town, Woking and Torquay United.

Following a permanent move to Brighton & Hove Albion where he never made a first-team appearance, Poke had a loan spell at Bristol Rovers before a permanent move then followed to Torquay before moving on to Portsmouth in June 2014.

He has yet to make his first-team debut for Pompey.
