Tony Sullivan is looking for a new challenge after leaving his role as manager of Cammell Laird, who have resigned from the….
….Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North, following Easter Monday’s final game.
Sullivan said: “I leave with a heavy heart, but understand why the club had taken the decision to reform at a lower level and wish them the best of luck for the future.”
Chairman Frank Games was full of praise for Sullivan. “I know how hard Tony has worked for this club during my time as chairman and he is an ambitious guy who is more than capable of continuing his managerial career at this level or higher, and all the Lairds family wish him well.”
Sullivan took Lairds to league runners-up last season and also won three manager of the month awards, whilst this season he achieved a mid-table finish, despite limited resources.
Sullivan will return for the club`s presentation night to say a final farewell.
