Wayne Thomas has advised manager Carl Heeley that he will not be staying with Vanarama National League North cloub Worcester City next season.
Thomas, who was offered a deal by the club on an appearance basis, has decided to pursue alternative options.
Heeley said: “Wayne Thomas has had a huge influence on the squad and been an integral part of some great memories over the past couple of seasons. I consider Wayne to be a friend and on behalf of everyone at the club I would like to wish him well and sincerely thank him for his massive contribution.”
Meanwhile, Romanian midfielder Marius Ologu has also been invited back for pre-season, where further discussions on his future will take place.
Ologu joined City in January from West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division side Dudley Town, having previously played professionally for FC Caransebes in Romania’s second tier as well as Universitatea Craiova, Astra Ploiesti, CS Turnu Severin, ASA Targu Mures and National Sebis in his homeland.
