Vanarama National League North club Gloucester City have announced the signing of striker Josh Cooke on a one month loan deal from Sky Bet League One side Swindon Town.
Cooke, 18, has Football League experience making a handful of appearances since making his professional debut against Preston North End in 2015.
He has also spent time on loan at Staines Town and more recently at City`s landlords Cheltenham Town.
Manager Tim Harris said: “It was our former chairman Stuart Pike that brought my attention to Joshua in pre-season and then he promptly signed on loan with Cheltenham.
“I watched him come off the bench against Aldershot in Cheltenham’s first home match this season and he looked very sharp.
“When we were recently alerted to his availability and with Obi Anorou out injured we jumped at the chance to bring him in. He is a lively, powerful young man that will add strength and pace to our options.”
Cooke will be available for tomorrow’s fixture with Harrogate Town and has also been given permission to play in next Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup fixture with Leiston.
